About us

We are Lara and Will Sussman – we bought our first chalet apartment in Méribel in July 2000 as a holiday home for us and our 3 children. As we are firmly of the view that a holiday should be a holiday, we then hired two chalet staff to look after us. It seemed a waste of a great chalet, and two great hosts not to use them all season, so that’s when Méribel Ski Chalet was born, and we started using our chalet apartment in Les Grands Sorbiers for catered ski holidays. Due to the continued success we have had, and the overwhelming customer satisfaction, we then bought a second chalet right in the centre of Méribel. Chalet Snowbel is run to exactly the same high standards as Les Grands Sorbiers.

Our philosophy for the perfect ski holiday is simple – you don’t want to share your chalet with strangers, you want to be very near the slopes, and near town, and you want to be very well looked after.

Over the past six years, we believe we have created the perfect ski holiday for small groups: your own chalet, in a fantastic location close to the slopes and town, with great staff cooking delicious meals, and looking after your every need.

When you email or phone with your enquiry, you get through to one of us (or the kids, although their phone manner needs some work). We will deal with you personally, so you can be sure we know what we are talking about. We can give you all manner of advice, from the best way to travel to Méribel, which ski schools to use, to the best childcare. We can book airport transfers, ski schools, ski hire or childcare for you. We will help you create the ideal holiday for you and your group. Throughout the booking process, and right up to your holiday you will liaise with me, Will. Then I will pass your exact requirements direct to your chalet hosts.
